Second week: Trip to Ciudad del Este and Iguazú Falls

Hello everyone, I wanted to write a post again now that is has been two weeks since we arrived in Paraguay.  Ian left yesterday and will be arriving in Cleveland sometime this afternoon.  We had a very nice visit and I was happy to be able to make this big transition with someone I love!  I wanted to fill you all in on some of the things that we have been up to in the last few weeks. First of all, it is important to know that I have converted many people into Cavs fans so we have all been following the games and cheering for the Cavs all the way from Paraguay! Ian and I decided to go to Ciudad del Este last Wednesday to visit our friend Diego, who spent a year in Cleveland with AFS a few years ago.  We decided to fly because Ian's back was bothering him and we thought a 30 minute flight would be better than a 6 hour bus ride.  I will add a picture of what we could see out of the window on the plane...we watched the sun rise and it was pretty cool. First Days in Paraguay

Hello everyone! Ian and I have arrived safely in Paraguay.  We landed Monday night at 11 pm.  Everything went smoothly and we were very excited to arrive in Asunción after 16 hours of travel.  Alan's sister, sister in law and our friend Rubio picked us up.  Here is a picture of all of us at the airport. After we arrived we stayed at an Airbnb for one night and then went to my third host family's house during the day.  We were still pretty tired so Ian slept and I tried to get some work done because I have one more class for my graduation requirement.  My host brother took us to pick up my sister and run some other errands.  I was afraid that I was going to run into Alan all day so I had to be careful!  Later on we got most everything ready for the surprise party, which included a very large "3" balloon because the 22nd was our 3 year anniversary of being together.   We then went to Alan's brother and sister in laws house to d...
